WQB Mold Removal is a Danville, IL-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
Our field techs are equipped with negative-air machines, HEPA filtration units, and borescopes for checking inside wall cavities without tearing the whole thing open unnecessarily.
WQB Mold Removal has passed inspection with Danville, IL environmental and health authorities on remediation protocol, and we keep that documentation on file for every job.
A lot of Danville, IL homeowners have already paid someone once for a job that didn't hold up, which is part of why we document every step with photos and lab data rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Our office staff handle scheduling and billing questions directly, so you're never stuck on hold with an answering service when you have a question about your job.
Not every mold problem announces itself with a visible black patch on the ceiling.
That earthy odor in a closet or crawl space is often the first real clue, long before anything is visible. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Any Danville property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
Sneezing, coughing, or headaches that improve when you leave the house and return when you're back inside are a classic mold indicator. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
Green, black, or gray speckling around windows, vents, or baseboards is often just the visible tip of a larger colony. Don't assume a small visible patch means a small problem — the portion behind the drywall is often much larger.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Danville crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
When a burst pipe or roof failure floods a Danville property overnight, our on-call crew can be dispatched before the sun comes up. We also photograph the damage extensively on arrival, which helps considerably if you end up filing an insurance claim afterward.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Danville home during the work. We'll also flag any structural repair the job needs and put you in touch with a trusted Danville tradesperson if it's outside our scope.
Our commercial crews coordinate with property managers on phased containment so parts of the building can stay operational during treatment. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Danville business running without interruption.
Lab results typically come back within a few business days, giving you documented proof of what was found. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Danville property.
Vapor barriers, sump discharge lines, and vent placement all factor into why crawl spaces in Danville, IL grow mold even in homes that look fine upstairs. We often find the crawl space is the real source of a musty smell upstairs, even in Danville homes where the visible living space looks perfectly clean.
For Danville properties with chronic humidity issues, we design a long-term moisture control plan, not just a one-time fix. Some Danville, IL clients set up an annual moisture check with us, especially in older homes with a history of basement dampness.
We keep the process simple enough to explain over the phone in under two minutes.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Photos texted ahead of time can help us prep faster.
This step tells us the true scope of contamination before we write a single number on a quote. We point out exactly what we're seeing as we go, not just at the end.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. Daily progress updates are available if you're not on-site during the work.
A final clearance test confirms spore counts are back to normal before we consider the job finished. Any lingering questions get answered on the spot before we pack up.
We quote a flat rate before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice waiting for you at the end.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Danville, IL so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
Every job includes documented before-and-after testing, not just a verbal assurance that "it's handled."
Our promise is simple: if the treated area shows regrowth tied to our workmanship within the warranty period, we return and correct it free of charge.
Plenty of companies will happily bill you for remediation on a repeat basis without ever mentioning the actual leak feeding the problem, and that's simply not how we operate in Danville, IL.
Local reputation matters more to a small Danville-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
We stand behind every remediation job with a written guarantee, not just a handshake, because your peace of mind matters as much as the finished work.

Answers to what Danville homeowners ask us most.
Most Danville calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. Weekend and holiday calls are still answered by our on-call dispatcher rather than routed to voicemail.
Yes — every job gets a flat-rate, itemized quote before any work begins, so there's no surprise invoice at the end. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. We also coordinate directly with plumbers or roofers when the source of the water needs to be stopped before drying can even begin.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Some policies cover mold tied to a sudden pipe burst but exclude long-term humidity issues, so it's worth checking your specific policy language. We're glad to speak directly with your adjuster if that helps move your Danville claim along faster.
Timeline depends on the square footage affected and whether structural materials need to be removed and replaced. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the initial inspection rather than a generic number pulled from a brochure.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. We'll always tell you honestly if we think you should stay elsewhere rather than downplay it to keep the job simpler on our end.
Our containment and air scrubbing protocols are designed to protect the rest of the household while work is underway. HEPA filtration during the job significantly reduces airborne spore counts outside the sealed work area.
Every job addresses the moisture source, not just the visible growth, because treating symptoms without fixing the cause almost guarantees regrowth. If the same conditions caused a prior remediation to fail, we'll flag that risk clearly before starting the new job.
Our dispatcher can walk you through what an initial visit includes when you call to schedule. Inspection availability sometimes shifts during peak humidity months when call volume runs higher across Danville, IL.
Remediation focuses on removing the active colony and correcting the moisture source so the environment no longer supports abnormal growth. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
Surface cleaning with bleach may remove visible staining but rarely reaches spores embedded in porous materials like drywall or subfloor. Bleach also doesn't address whatever moisture condition allowed mold to grow in the first place, so the same spot often returns within weeks.
